"Free" is the EP newly released by Sarah P., its cover art depicting a full-grown yet embryonic yin yang, promising messages of peace & rebirth, renewal, and, essentially: freedom. The artist Sarah P., having recently separated from the popular indie group Keep Shelly In Athens (in which she was lead singer), clearly enjoys the freedom of music making as a solo artist. This latest endeavor is a love letter to her inner psyche, to the rich and untamed expression within -- “I wanted it to escalate” says Sarah, “I wanted it to have many colors.” The album is a personal journey, following the rich palette of emotion and feeling associated with life’s darkest lows, along with the brilliance of finding light once again.

You misconceived me and you thought that I was strong enough
At my lowest staying with you, being your bête noire
You played me around, still I was fine with you and all of that
Left you your house, spacing your life - no tears more to tat
Always dreamt of something nice that would carry me to the lights
Always dreamt of something nice that would carry me to the lights
Mom, I'm coming home, I need my bed and not to wash the dishes every, every day
Mom, I'm coming home, I need my bed and not to wash the dishes every, every day
Mom, it's time to go now, I lost my way somehow
Mom, it's time to go now, I lost myself somehow
I didn't have the time to cry loud on your doormat
When you were sleeping, my nightmare was alive and sound
You played me around, still I was fine with you and all of that
I left you alone, what's more you need? There's nothing else to chat!
Always dreamt of something nice that would carry me to the lights
Always dreamt of something nice that would carry me to the lights
It wasn't you this time - It wasn't you
Mom, I'm coming home, I need my bed and not to wash the dishes every, every day
Mom, I'm coming home, I need my bed and not to wash the dishes every, every day
Mom, it's time to go now, I lost my way somehow
Mom, it's time to go now, I lost myself somehow
You thought it was easy to start again a grand, new life
You misconceived the impact of the words that cut like knife
You played me around, still I was there for you and every night
To eulogize your dark shine and the way you fake your smiles
(Take me home)
Mom, I'm coming home, I need my bed and not to wash the dishes every, every day Mom, I'm coming home, I need my bed and not to wash the dishes every, every, every...
Mom, it's time to go now, I lost myself somehow
Mom, it's time to go now, I lost my way somehow
(It's time now, carry me, carry me! Take me home! I'm ready!
